Yes, they are all here now, en masse. The pond is full of these little Peepers. The sound of dusk is full...and happy.

Peeper Scout

One of my favorite sounds of Spring, the Peepers. Tonight, I heard one, lone Peeper. I believe the Scout is out.

Here Comes the Sun

As the weather has broken across the Northeast, we have gratefully seen the temperatures rise. Although we have had a couple of days of precipitation, it is rain. And well above freezing. The next week promises to be beautiful. We might even see the Crocus, Daffodils and Tulips sprout before long.

Phil Update

Lathrop Manor is a beautiful home located in the Northeast. This is seasonal weather for this part of the country, this time of year.

We have a guest from Texas. How would it look if we had 70 degree days; it would be as if she had never left the Southern climate.

So, here is to putting another log on the fire. That's a romantic notion. We'll be in the Tavern Room later today with a roaring fire.

Oh, Phil, Say It Ain't So

After the snow this morning, the sun did come out. The temp was up to 43 degrees but the snow remains, at least on the Lower Lawn.

Maybe we'll find a trade to an Island location for a week or two? Since Punxsutawney Phil is not cooperating!
