Lathrop Manor formerly a Bed & Breakfast is again a private residence. This 1744 home is a beautiful example of a center hall Colonial with nine fireplaces. The house, nestled in the center of the Norwich Historic District has a rich history and beautiful craftsmanship from the hand carved wooden beams to the wide board flooring throughout. It is inspiring to imagine the lives of those who have walked these halls before.

The Moon
The past couple of nights I have wished that I could paint. Oil, water color, whatever the medium, I just wanted to paint. The moon has been so bright, clear and shining down on the Lower Lawn and the Meadow so beautifully. I would have taken a picture but it was 2 am and about 2 degrees. With time exposure, I might have gotten frost bite. But it is still in my mind. I wish you could see it, too.

Storm of the Week, Part 3
This photograph of our outdoor table shows how much snow we have gotten in the past week through three storms. And it is still snowing. This storm is drifting a little more than the previous two.
The unofficial temperature is 34 degrees; the snow is a good insulator.
